Atom - 80 - Human
Professions: Jewelcrafting and Alchemy. (roughly +80 spell damage)
Desired Raiding Spec: 0/14/57
Can You Make Our Raid Times: yes. I don't raid so I can not show up. Only under certain circumstances (you know, Angelina Jolie standing at my door looking for a good time) will I not show up to a raid.

Yea my gear isn't great, but I've been playing this character for only about a week in the last 4 months. Whether or not I start raiding with a guild, my gear will progress quickly in the days to come. Also, I'm incredibly proficient with my class so gear doesn't handicap me as much as most people. I generally out-perform other players with the same gear level.
Previous Guild(s) and reason for leaving: Reckoning. I'm just friends with them so I've been chilling in the guild ever since I raided with them back in the day. I'm leaving so I can raid some ulduar, and your raid times fit very well. I'm on alaska time.
Reason for your interest in Rififi: It appears that you're driven for progression, which is the exciting part of this game (as opposed to grinding endless pugs to gear myself for it). I really enjoy raiding with competent people who also want to kill the biggest, baddest shit around.
1) Discuss the effort you've made in aquiring reputation with factions in Wrath of the Lich King, including the Sons of Hodir.
I generally get the reputation for required enchants and the like as soon as possible, with the exception of Sons of Hodir. I already have the reputation for the honored enchant, and the exalted enchant is a skim upgrade, and that's an exaggeration. One blink of an eye can mess up your timing by a milisecond in a raid, which can easily lower your dps more than that extra 10 damage from the enchant. I've used my time in the last week doing more important things like getting damage bonus professions and better gear. If I find my self so bored with everything else in the game (or with a huge excess of gold), I may decide to start doing dailies or just buy the Hodir reputation anyway.
2) What is your raid experience during the current patch? Please be as detailed as possible. If you haven't raided something, I want to know why.
I've cleared every instance on both difficulties other than ulduar. I've done up to 6 bosses on 10 man Ulduar in a pug, so I have those fights mastered. I've also done FL and razorscale on heroic. I catch on to fights extremely quickly, and have always read strats before I do them.
3) Are you willing to respec to better suit the guild's needs if asked for a specific purpose/raid composition/etc.? (Sometimes this would include us feeling like your spec isn't as conducive to optimal DPS as it could be, so we can and will suggest tweaks.)
For sure. I consider myself to be on top of the intricacies of the talent tree at all times, but if there is something I don't catch I'll be sure to listen.
4) Detail the roughest encounter you have experienced in the current patch and how you handled it? To be honest I haven't really been challenged in this patch that's why I'm trying to raid with a progression guild. I can say that killing FL with a pug is the most sad experience of this patch for me. And it sure is rough trying to win when no one else has a clue what they are doing.
5) What glyphs are you currently using and why?
Incinerate, immolate, conflag. Best in slots for destro dps.
6) What is your typical DPS rotation? Immolate, chaos bolt, conflag, incinerate, incinerate etc. rinse and repeat according to cooldown, movement, lifetapping, and other casts. Insta pop cooldowns when they are up and there is a long enough straight dps segment to warrant their use. I use the theoretical maximum dps timing/rotation in every situation as much as I can.
