Character Name - Level - Race: Dorndor, 80 Gnome Mage
Desired Raiding Spec: 20/51/0 (Fireball w/ TtW)
Can You Make Our Raid Times: Yes I can, every one; and out of curiosity do you get people who respond no to this question?

Previous Guild(s) and reason for leaving: HYPERION (too casual; slow progression and people didn't show up), Aumentare Di Phoenix (had to go inactive for an extended period of time, was removed from guild). Currently a member of Absolution to get more experience in Ulduar.
Reason for your interest in Rififi: Time is a very good fit first of all; Second because I have always been impressed by Rififi; back when I was an officer of Hyperion I ran Sarth +1 with you guys while it was still considered difficult. I very much enjoyed that, and kept an eye on your guild, watching you progress while my guild dealt with attendance and commitment issues to no end. In short I'd love to be a contributing member to a guild that goes somewhere; that sees all the content, learns all the strategies and succeeds.
1) Discuss the effort you've made in acquiring reputation with factions in Wrath of the Lich King, including the Sons of Hodir. I'm currently exalted with Sons of Hodir, as well as all reputations for which a tabard is usable in 80 dungeons. Other than that I've only worked on reputations that benefit my trade skills.
2) Our Raid Leader doesn't talk in vent. Ever. In our opinion this does not lead to a lack of communication and we feel like he's by far the best player in the guild for this particular task, and therefore we express no discontent. Will reading raid strategies rather than hearing on vent them frustrate you and leave you with any sort of hostile feelings towards the guild in general? Nope, I'm an easy going guy, don't talk much myself (only when I think it needs to be heard) so I totally understand that and it wouldn't bother me in the least. I always read my strategies and watch many videos because I don't like going into something knowing nothing about it.
3) Please describe your DPS rotation, general Healing Theory, or tanking stratagem. For whichever applies, discuss your glyphs and how they benefit you. Cast Living Bomb, stack Scorch debuff if necessary (no lock with imp. shadowbolt and no mage with glyph of imp. scorch means I stack it) then spam Fireball casting Pyroblast on every Hot Streak proc while refreshing Living Bomb and keeping Scorch debuff active. My 3 glyphs (Molten Armor, Fireball and Living Bomb) are the 3 glyphs that give me the greatest returns for my spec, plain and simple.
4) We hold some players' Dual-Spec in higher regard than others. Do you have dual-spec? What is it, and will you be pissed if we give another player off-set gear over you based on a stronger likelihood of his or her raiding as that spec to suit the guild's need for a specific encounter? Are you willing and capable of being a player with a "useful" secondary raiding spec? I don't think this really applies but I do have an offspec and I could care less about gearing for it unless for some reason it was called for in a raid. I don't know of any instances yet where Mages having offspecs are of huge benefit. Please let me know if this is a pivotal oversight.
5) What is the most difficult encounter you've dealt with in the current patch? Why did you choose this one and how did you handle it? I guess that would be doing FL Heroic Hard mode with all 4 towers. My job, in a bike, was to pick up the people who fell off after an overload and get them back to their demolisher as well as provide oil whenever it was ready. I didn't really choose it; Hexed did, and I was running with them that night. It took quite a few tries but eventually everyone learned their jobs well and completed it. Other than that I haven't really done anything considered very difficult, mostly due to the fact that I haven't yet had an opportunity to be part of a guild/group that worked on difficult encounters.
6) Do you have any references on the Dragonblight server? Who?
Huneshaman, Novaes, Trabec all can vouch for my ability to play my character.
7) If you bitch about not getting loot we probably will just not really consider you for gear. Similarly, if you don't get the best enchants/gems on the loot we do give you, we'll probably not give you any more until no one else needs the items. Are you still interested in Rififi? Yep. I don't do the first one and I always do the second. If I were last in line for gear I could care less as long as I still had my raiding spot. I see gear as a means for me to be of more help to my group and definitely not as some trophy to flaunt or something to make a big scene over.
8) What in your preferred raiding spec will benefit the raid? Answer this however you see appropriate. It's really all about whether or not a DPS class can put out the numbers they need to. This depends on player control as well as gear. I can tell you that I am always concerned with performing at the top of my class the best that I can, and that I put out equal if not better dps compared to any character equally geared. I am always up to date with the best theorycrafting for my character, I know what gear and stats I need to improve my numbers, I know how to enchant, gem, glyph and spec correctly. My usefulness is maximized to the point that my gear allows it to be. I am very raid aware - never the one being hit by flame wall, standing in a void zone or poison cloud. I'm quick and mindful of tasks needed to be done by me, whether it be nuking constructs during Ignis or Decursing with great speed for Sapph. I run DeadlyBossMods during every raid, along with ClassTimers so I can be more efficient with my rotation, Pitbull as raid frames with all members visible for quick buffing and decursing, Omen as a warning to know when I need to dump aggro, and Recount to monitor where my DPS is coming from and see if I can tweak my playstyle for an encounter to maximize my DPS.
9) Are you a Ret Paladin who either is retarded or has Buiden listed as a reference? No; Buiden and I have not yet had the pleasure of meeting. This question makes me think of a Ret Paladin I once had an interesting exchange with whom I'll leave nameless for now.
10) Seriously, our Raid Leader doesn't' talk on vent and our GM often jokes about being a homosexual (no one is sure if he's kidding). If you join, are you going to make fun of them? Nope. Like I said I'm quiet; I do my job and enjoy the fights and progression.
A few final remarks; I'm currently 10/14 in Ulduar 10 and just 3/14 in 25. Shortly after 3.1 I went inactive for medical reasons and have only recently begun to play seriously again. I'd like to remark in that light that I am a quick learner who always does his homework and works extra hard to make up for lost time. I will be a dedicated and serious player you can always count on to be there on time and ready to go whenever I can be, and if I cannot be I will always make it known in advance.
